How clean is the water?
How often do we change it?

These excellent questions are very reasonable and important.

We care about our floaters and keep everything at highest standard regarding water cleanliness.

With that said, we’d like to highlight few points.

1. Every private room with float tank has its own shower.  Before you enter to the pod you must take a full shower, meaning wash your head and body with provided shampoo and shower gel.

2. In our pods we have a solution: about 165 gallons of water and about 900 pounds of Epsom salt. The float solution’s high salinity level prevents the growth of algae, bacteria and other micro-organisms. With proper salinity maintenance, the float solution remains inert.

3. Dreampods designed to keep water filtered, sanitized and warm all the time. Water circulates 24/7 (except while guests in the session). With that said, built-in UV-light is one of the disinfectant used against living micro-organism. Effects are minimal in salt solution of optimum salinity. It allows the use of reduced chemical levels.

4. To keep water crystal clear and oxidized we use h2o2 (35% food grade hydrogen peroxide). (Most of the public pools use chlorine and bromine instead, which is cheaper and reasonable for 10,000+ gallons  pools).
Hydrogen Peroxide is the preferred choice for float solution sanitation.
H2O2 is also an extremely powerful oxidizing agent, which makes it suitable for the destruction of a variety of pollutants and contamination.
When used, H2O2 breaks down into water, oxygen and ozone, which are least harmful to the human body.

5. If you swim in public pools, you should know, by federal regulations, water filtration systems should circulate 100% volume of water in 6 hours. That’s the standard. If pump or filter doesn’t meet this criteria, pool gets closed after inspection. In our Dreampods, we circulate and filter water with 10nm paper filter at least 3 cycles before each float session, meaning all ~165 gallons go through the filter 3 times before we use it.

6. As an additional disinfectant, we use natural mineral sanitizer from local pool and spa store, installed directly into Dreampod filter. “Zodiac W20750 Nature2 SPA Stick Mineral Sanitizer” is perfect alternative to heavy chlorine or bromine to keep water clean. It works by automatically dissolving trace amounts of mineral elements into the water. Those elements act as a sanitizer to destroy bacteria and viruses.

7. Every time our guests leave the pod, they take some salt water with them (on their body), so depending on how busy we are, we always add fresh water to the tanks.

8. We have people on site with CPO (certified pool operators) who do water maintenance by schedule, making sure that alkalinity, PH, h2o2, salinity and water hardness levels are proper.

Summary: the water in Dreampods in tens times cleaner then any water in pools or hot tubs.
